Samantha Ellman

Content Writer

Sam (she/her) is an advocate for sustainable and equitable urban development, public transit enthusiast, and environmentalist. She is fascinated by the intersections of sustainability, urban planning, and a just future, and hopes to work at this nexus after graduate school. At Climate Action LAb, Sam researches and writes content and occasionally helps with content design. Outside of Climate Action LAb, Sam is a full-time graduate student in urban planning. She also works for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation in the transit planning division and serves the APA Los Angeles Board as the Young and Emerging Planners Director. In her free time, Sam loves reading, practicing Pilates, and thrifting.
