Celebrate Juneteenth 2022 in Los Angeles

juneteenth.png

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865 - the day that enslaved people in Galveston, Texas was brought news of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation of Jan 1, 1863, almost two years later.

This signaled the emancipation of Texas's 250,000 enslaved people.

Juneteenth is the longest-running African American holiday.  First celebrated by freed people in Texas in 1865, it officially became a federal holiday in 2021.

Join the celebrations this weekend and invest in Black businesses, joy, equity, and justice.
